The collection features profile pictures of cartoon apes that are procedurally generated by an algorithm. The parent company of Bored Ape Yacht Club is Yuga Labs.

Bored Ape Kennel Club is a collection of 9,602 cartoon dog NFTs, each a part of Yuga Labs’ broader Bored Ape Yacht Club universe. Bored Ape Kennel Club NFTs were originally offered for free (minus the cost of gas) to any owner of a Bored Ape NFT.

Should you buy a bored ape?

Another feature of buying a Bored Ape is that the NFT also offers monetization, or commercial usage, rights of the cartoon’s likeness to purchasers.
